Last day: "Father's Day & Affordable Art Market"!

Today is the last day of our Pop and Pop Art online market at Poppytalk Handmade! We loved the art and Father's Day ideas! The online shop will remain open until approx 6 pm tonight (if you still want to check it out) and then we'll be cleaning up things over the weekend to get ready for our next event, "Here Comes the Sun" which launches Monday just in time for the first day of summer next week! Yay summer! Thank you to everyone who participated and for buying handmade! See you Monday!

East Ashley Studio offers prints of watercolor illustrations by Robin Wieskus of Minneapolis .  Robin's illustrations are heavily influenced by her love of all things vintage; she is inspired by the classic, simple, interesting design including vintage cameras, sports equipment, and sewing notions. "They seem to have more of a soul than many of the things made today and I can only hope to represent a little bit of that in my illustrations". Visit East Ashley Studio online:

Affordable Art (PM Edition) The Wheatfield

Katie Daisy is a wandering artist whose home is the prairie. Originally from a small farm in Illinois, Katie is greatly inspired by rural life. Ms. Daisy makes her way by enjoying simple country pleasures such as a sweet goldfinch song, swimming in lakes, canoe trips that creep into the night and sipping chamomile tea with honey.  Apart from freelance work, Katie sells art on the road at festivals, art shows, and online at her Etsy shop! Katie currently lives in a cloud-hidden country home, nestled somewhere between the Smoky Mountains and pure bliss.

Affordable Art (PM Edition): Elizabeth Mayville

Whether images of seedlings, wildlife, local buildings or family members, Elizabeth Mayville 's paintings are a reflection of her adoration for "home" as well as the quiet anxiety that stems from being invested in something so beautiful and so completely temporary.

Elizabeth earned her BFA in 2006 and has been painting and working in Grand Rapids, Michigan ever since. She's completely bananas for any simple painting or drawing that is well executed and has a good sense of light and color.  See more of her work online:
